PBA approves $18,009 repair for annex/courthouse alley side gate

The Public Building Authority voted to move forward with repairs to the side gate operator in the annex and courthouse alley and to encumber funds for the work.

Staff recommended replacing the gate’s operational components rather than redesigning the entrance, saying the repair is less expensive and equipment availability and warranty terms make it the preferred option. "The equipment is warranted for a year," a staff member said during discussion. The staff member said the proposed work would replace electronics and drive components that fail when it rains and that the contractor would provide warranty service during the warranty period.
