The Glades County Board of County Commissioners voted 5‑0 Tuesday to remove the countywide outdoor‑burning ban after staff reported weather conditions had become more favorable.
County staff presented a draft resolution to rescind the burn ban that the board had previously adopted and said the recommendation was based on updated weather and field conditions. The board adopted Glades County Resolution 2025‑09 (rescinding the previous burn ban resolution), and the vote was recorded as unanimous.
Staff noted the resolution includes standard provisions for enforcement, construction of the resolution and an effective date. Commissioners asked a clarifying question during the reading of the resolution, and the motion passed on a recorded vote of five in favor and none opposed.
No immediate additional actions were scheduled beyond the administrative implementation of the resolution and public notice.
