Staff said the mural request was within the city’s procurement threshold for redevelopment fund expenditures and that the artist is local. Construction season is underway and organizers said they have done preparatory work and expect work to start soon. The roof appropriation is intended to maintain the artist-in-residence program facility. Funds will be drawn from the redevelopment fund and staff will follow procurement policy for contracting and implementation.
