The Waterloo City Council received bids and adopted a resolution awarding contracts for furniture for the Waterloo Convention Center project after two bidders submitted proposals.
Deputy clerk reported two bidders: Kurt Gross with a bid of $13,730 and Office Concept Designs with a bid of $158,538.86, for a total of $172,268.86. The council then adopted a resolution approving award of the bid, authorizing contract bonds and insurance, and authorizing the mayor and city clerk to execute the documents.
Council discussion included appreciation for the convention center improvements; no public comment was recorded during the hearing. The contract award was approved by roll call following the public hearing and bidding process, and staff will proceed with execution of the contracts and associated bonds and insurance as required by procurement rules.
