Clallam County commissioners on May 27 approved a contract with the Washington State Department of Natural Resources to treat spotted jewelweed on the Upper Sand Creek timber unit in eastern Clallam County. County staff said the budget impact was included in the 2025 budget.
The item was discussed briefly in open session; a motion to approve the contract was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote. Commissioners recorded the contract as approved unanimously.
Staff noted the contract funds are intended for treatment work on county timber units and that routine reporting and budget tracking will follow under the county’s natural‑resources program.
