Clallam County MRC plans May 30 presentation on 3 Crabs shoreline concerns for Northwest Straits Commission

Committee members said they would produce a short PowerPoint with photographs, an explanatory handout drawn from the MRC's annual report, and circulate the draft to County staff before presenting.
Latricia Suggs, chair, told the group the May 30 meeting would likely begin at the Dungeness Nature Center and that the committee had time for a roughly 20-minute slot. Suggs asked for volunteers to develop a short slide set and to coordinate with county staff and Bruce (county staff) so the presentation could be jointly framed.
Elise Miller offered to help develop the slides and said she was happy to “co do it” with project leads. Alan Clark and Anne (committee member) discussed focusing the presentation to identify the situation, provide historical photographs, summarize the advisory letter sent to the Board of County Commissioners and highlight where the MRC can support education and outreach. The committee agreed a packet excerpted from the annual report would accompany the presentation to show the range of projects and to provide attendees a handout they could consult during Q&A.
Members noted prior work by the Clallam Conservation District (a report from about 2003) and said it would be included as background. Staff were directed to develop the PowerPoint and handout offline with Clark, Anne and Suggs, and then share the draft with county staff (Bruce) before the May 30 meeting. The committee also discussed using the meeting lunch and breaks for follow-up discussion with attendees.
