Staff highlighted Chipman’s accessibility mapping work for trails and his service on the county’s developmental disability advisory board; they described Polby as a tribal member and retired fisheries deputy director with community ties.
Commissioners endorsed preparing a resolution to place both names before the board for adoption at the next meeting; staff said the resolution will be drafted for the May 27 board meeting. No formal vote was recorded in the work session. Commissioners and staff said they expect the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board to consider the appointments at the next meeting and bring a formal recommendation to the commissioners as part of the May 27 consent or action agenda.
