The board said it will not "settle for less" and will repost the position or appoint an interim superintendent if a suitable finalist is not identified.
Board members reflected on Heller's tenure and said the district will seek a candidate who can continue work on initiatives begun under Heller, including district alignment and strategic planning. Board members and staff said the transition will include orientation and that the board will announce next steps following the BWP meeting and internal candidate review.
