Superintendent introduces new principals and district leaders at June school board meeting

Superintendent Maria Vasquez used the June 10 Orange County School Board meeting to introduce several administrative appointments, including new principals and campus leaders who will take effect this summer.

The appointments matter because they place new leaders at schools across the district ahead of the 2025‑26 school year, and several appointees gave brief remarks about their priorities and gratitude for the opportunity.

Appointments announced at the meeting included Bridget Lehi Ann Bresk (moving from assistant principal at Windermere High School to principal at Hamlin Middle School); Fred Korn (assistant principal at Jones High School to principal at Cypress Creek High School); Christopher Gomez (principal at Millenia Elementary); Shawana Harris (principal at Metro West Elementary); Kristina Morzak (principal at Bay Lake); Amy Michelle Parker (moving to Assistant Director, Orange Technical College West Campus); Jose Perez Valentin (principal at Laureate Park Elementary); Tamala Tannenhill (principal at Stone Lakes Elementary); Gina Work (principal at Spring Lake Elementary); and others the superintendent named during the presentation.

Several appointees thanked the board and district leaders, named mentor principals and family members, and described immediate priorities such as continuity, community engagement and student support.
