The petitions and the project details Tim Lifford presented were:
- New service to 15 Cliff Road: approximately 20 feet of two 4-inch conduits across Cliff Road and one handhole in the sidewalk between 13 and 15 (National Grid representative Tim Lifford). - New service to 2 Dukes Road: approximately 60 feet of two 4-inch conduits and one handhole (Tim Lifford). - New service to 14 Harborview: approximately 15 feet of one 3-inch conduit and one handhole (Tim Lifford). - New service to 117 Old South Road: approximately 50 feet of two 4-inch conduits and one pull box; Lifford said the pull box will be flush with the ground for the immediate work, with the potential for later upgrade to an above-ground junction box (Tim Lifford). - New service to 30A Orange Street: approximately 30 feet of two 3-inch conduits and two handholes, one on each side of the street; the contractor planned to complete the work while Orange Street was closed for sewer work (Tim Lifford). - Upgrades at 241 Madaket Road: approximately 100 feet of two 3-inch conduits to be located on Tennessee Avenue and crossing North Cambridge Street (Tim Lifford).
For each petition the Select Board opened the public hearing, received no public comment, closed the hearing and voted to approve the petition with departmental comments. Motions to approve passed on unanimous voice votes (Tom aye; Brooke aye; Chair votes aye). Several items included brief staff clarifications on pull-box placement and coordination with contractors performing other nearby work.
The Select Board recorded departmental comments and asked staff to ensure installations comply with permit conditions and avoid disrupting other work in the right of way.
