Land Bank amends lot list to accommodate Tim and Jennifer Buz amid title concerns

The Junction City Land Bank approved an amendment to Land Bank Resolution 22-20-24 to remove Lot 6, Block 7, Spring Valley Addition Number 2 and to add Lot 25, Block 2, Sutterwood Subdivision from a package of lots offered to Tim and Jennifer Buz.
Board staff said Heartland Title identified title issues on the Spring Valley lot; the Buzes asked the land bank to substitute another lot to allow their development to proceed. The board discussed prior attempts to resolve title problems and the Buzes’ request that the land bank assist with clearing additional lots; those communications, staff said, had at times stalled.
A board member moved to approve the amendment and the motion carried. Members noted the land bank had previously requested that the Buzes help coordinate cleanup where the Buzes sought multiple lot clearances; when that broader assistance did not materialize, the Buzes asked to swap the single problematic lot.
The board also discussed overlapping offers for some lots from another applicant, G and G Builders LLC, and noted the need to resolve duplicate-offer conflicts and title/shed issues before some transactions progress.
