The Hampton Township Council on Wednesday voted to adopt Resolution 1113 authorizing the township to apply for a Greenways, Trails and Recreation Program grant to replace lights at MacCully’s Fields.
The community services director told the council the township will seek $250,000 from the grant program toward a total project cost of $380,000, with a required township match of $130,000. The director said the application covers lighting at Fields 2 and 3.
Councilor motioned and the council approved the resolution by roll call. The clerk recorded favor votes from council members present and the resolution passed.
The manager’s memo dated May 8 accompanied the request; the council approved the application as recommended. Staff will proceed with the grant submission and, if awarded, return to council for any required contract approvals and budget adjustments.
