The Warrick County School Corp. Board of School Trustees approved a grant agreement with the Warrick County Redevelopment Commission (RDC) to support programs at the Warrick Pathways and Career Center by purchasing a carry-deck crane and a bulldozer.
Superintendent Abby Redmond presented the grant agreement, saying the RDC desires to support the district’s career-technical offerings at the Pathways and Career Center by funding the two pieces of heavy equipment. Redmond recommended the board approve the agreement as submitted.
A motion to approve was made by Mr. Baker and seconded by Mr. Friend; the board voted in favor with no opposition recorded. The transcript did not include a contract dollar amount or a timeline for delivery.
The board’s approval enables the district’s career- and technical-education program to acquire equipment intended for hands-on instruction at the Pathways and Career Center; the RDC is the funding source named in the agreement.
