Patchogue zoning board moves NADAP Inc. special-permit renewal to decision calendar

The Patchogue Village Zoning Board on June 3 closed the public hearing and moved to its decision calendar a renewal request from NADAP, Inc. for a special permit to operate a home health-care program with coordination services and assessment/care management at 180 West Main.

The permit application, for an existing special permit granted in 2023, was presented by applicant Gina Caparazzo. Caparazzo said the program operates primarily in the field, serves clients in Nassau and Suffolk counties, and maintains a small office at the Patchogue address where some clients come for in‑person meetings. “Everything is going very well,” Caparazzo said.

Board members and staff reported no complaints on file from the building department. During discussion, a board member suggested extending the permit term so the applicant would not need to return frequently; the board did not adopt a new term at the hearing but noted the suggestion. Miss Montaigne moved to close the application and move it to the decision calendar; Mister Biggs seconded the motion, and the members present voted in favor.

Details provided at the hearing indicate NADAP staffs seven people at the office location and operates Monday through Friday, roughly 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with most services delivered in clients’ homes. The board did not record any changes to operating hours or services at the meeting.

The board will consider the renewal and any conditions at a future decision session; no final permit action was taken at the June 3 hearing.
