Rossford City Council on June 9 adopted a resolution approving the mayor's appointment of Sam Beal to the Veil Service Commission and declared the measure an emergency before adoption.
The council also reviewed two pieces of correspondence regarding liquor-permit transfers. One item involved a transfer to 9749 Clark Drive, LLC doing business as Staybridge Suites; another item was a request to convert a previously approved license to a C1 (beer only, carryout) license for a local business. Council recorded no objection to the transfers and the clerk said the city would forward its lack of objection.
No audience members objected during the meeting when council moved to suspend the rules and adopt the appointment resolution.
