Board receives coaching on time use, self‑evaluation and superintendent evaluation tied to goals and guardrails

The OKCPS Board of Education spent a session with external coaches reviewing how the board should measure its own time and hold the superintendent accountable against the district’s newly adopted goals and guardrails.

Coach AJ told board members, "each of you should have a document that at the top of it says, board monthly time use evaluations," and led the board through examples of how routine meeting items are coded for board monthly reporting. The training covered three tools: a monthly time‑use evaluation to track how the board spends meeting minutes, a quarterly board self‑evaluation template, and a superintendent evaluation matrix tied to goals and interim metrics.
