Board sends two custodial bids to maintenance staff for specification review

Faced with two competing bids to provide district custodial services, the Teton County School District board voted June 9 to refer both proposals to maintenance staff for a line-by-line review against the district’s request for proposals.
Mark (board discussion lead) summarized the two bids for trustees: McCall Cleaners submitted a responsive package at $30 per hour and described a staffing and accountability platform; Mr. Moose Cleaning Services proposed a $40-per-hour bid and estimated 120 hours per week of service. Board members said they were concerned about the hourly-rate difference and the vendors’ assumptions about weekly hours.
