Board approves annual Southwest Metro allocations and LTFM plan resolutions

The Prior Lake-Savage Area Schools Board of Education approved annual resolutions to allocate the district’s proportional share of levy funds to the Southwest Metro Intermediate School District and accepted the district’s 10-year Long-Term Facilities Maintenance (LTFM) allocation plan.
Director Frederickson explained the two resolutions are the routine, statutorily required allocations the intermediate district calculates for the district’s portion of the LTFM levy and the Safe Schools levy. The board moved both resolutions and conducted roll-call votes that recorded unanimous support.
For the first resolution on the proportional LTFM allocation, Director Bullion moved and Director Johnson seconded; board members answered individually on the roll call (Director Olson, Director Johnson, Director Bullion, Director Frantz, Director Mason, Director Atkinson all voted "Aye"), and Chair White announced the motion carried 7-0. The Safe Schools allocation resolution was moved and carried by roll call in the same manner.
Director Powers then reviewed the 10-year LTFM plan previously presented in study sessions; no substantive changes to the plan were reported during the meeting. Staff indicated the plan will return for formal action when required in July.
