Council, fire chief to restart emergency management plan work and reconvene stakeholders

A council member said, "The chief and I kind of lead that EMA plan, get the ball rolling back again...we can schedule a meeting with the people who need to be in the initial meeting to get policies, procedures up to date. That way...we have a game plan ready to go." The council member indicated the chief and council staff would schedule meetings and bring back names and letters of interest for committee participation.
Council members noted prior members of certain advisory groups had not been engaged and named two individuals who had been "MIA" on the committee. The council directed the chief and staff to get the meetings scheduled and to update the council on progress.
No formal vote was recorded; the council recorded consensus to have the chief and staff lead renewed EMA planning and stakeholder outreach.
