Board members approved hiring summer‑school teachers and bus drivers, two new teachers for the fall — Travis Baker (fourth grade) and Hannah Wells (elementary music) — and approved an agreement for Lisa Watson to return as administrative assistant at Multi County up to 10 hours per week. The board also approved multiple supplemental positions for 2025‑26, accepted volunteer Tyler Zimmerman after background check clearance, and appointed Jeff Phillips as director of the marching band following a multi‑round interview process.
The appointment of Jeff Phillips was recorded after more than 40 applicants and more than four hours of committee interviewing; the roll call for that supplemental showed two board members voting no (Mister Rickwick and Miss Fontana) and three voting yes (Missus Schrock, Mister Galentine and Mister McMath). All other personnel items were approved by roll call votes recorded as carried in the transcript.
