Public Works anticipates 4–6 week work window for Ben Hur emergency repairs

Mariposa County Public Works Director Shani Hansen updated the board on an emergency response and repair plan for damage at the Ben Hur Road site. Hansen said county-contracted crews had mobilized, temporary k-rail, signage and lighting were being installed, and a contractor team had been on site to begin work.
"We met with George Bridal last week, and discussed a plan forward. The Rhodes team was down there yesterday, setting up all, k rail and emergency signage and lights. George Reed is on the ground today, mobilized, and work will begin," Hansen said. She estimated the county would have more information as repairs progress and that, "we're hoping to have everything wrapped up between, 4 to 6 weeks."
Hansen said staff would provide updates to the board and public as the scope of damage is confirmed and more detailed scheduling and cost information becomes available. The item was presented as a departmental update rather than a board action item; no votes were required.
