The Inyo County Board approved Amendment No. 1 to a geologic services agreement May 27, adding $150,000 to allow the county’s existing contractor to provide geological services in support of Water Department work on the Laurel Highlands Trail.
Mike Arante of Public Works told the board the Water Department faces time constraints and that Public Works has a contract that can deliver the required services. He said the solid-waste fund would advance the work and that the Water Department would reconcile costs with solid waste later.
The board approved the amendment by motion; no public opposition was recorded.
