"The contract this year is $89,750, which is a 3.8% increase over last year, because of the mandates and everything that's required now of our auditors to present things that they have to do through local government commission," the county finance representative said.
Commissioners asked whether the same audit team within the firm would perform the engagement; the finance representative replied, "No, sir. It's the same team."
A motion to approve the contract was made and seconded; commissioners approved the measure by voice vote. The board did not record a roll-call tally during the discussion and the meeting record states only that the motion "carries."
