Enterprise proposes exterior updates at 1000 Crosstown Drive; planners approve elevations

Enterprise representatives presented proposed exterior changes to a vacant building at 1000 Crosstown Drive and gained Planning Commission approval for the building elevations.
The property, zoned GC (General Commercial), is under new ownership and the requested changes are limited to painting the concrete-block exterior, updating window and storefront treatments, and replacing the roof. Laura (Staff member, Planning Department) told the commission the proposed color palette is neutral and consistent with the Land Development Ordinance guidance on low-reflectance, earth‑tone colors.
Billy Giddens, property developer for Enterprise, told commissioners the Peachtree City location currently operates a fleet that the company monitors hourly and that the existing location typically reports “roughly 330 vehicles” in fleet counts overall. He said the number of vehicles parked on site at any one time is usually far smaller: “On average, you will probably see 25 vehicles sitting on the ground, maybe 30,” though he said Enterprise projects the operation could serve up to about 400 cars in total as business grows. Giddens also said Enterprise plans to install “1 or 2 charging stations” initially and add more chargers as needs grow and infrastructure becomes available.
Commissioners asked about parking capacity and landscaping on the corner of Highway 74 and Crosstown Drive; Giddens said the existing lot has sufficient parking stalls for the projected vehicle counts and that the company will work with planning staff on landscaping suggestions during the permitting process.
A motion to approve the building elevations for 1000 Crosstown Drive, Enterprise, passed unanimously.
