Stephanie, a MEDC staff member, said the event has run in Montgomery for several years and that she would ensure it is coded as a grant in future records unless it should be a sponsorship.
Stephanie told the board, “it is a little late. The event is next week,” and explained she found the listing under sponsorship when preparing the packet. A board member moved to approve the $500 grant, the motion was seconded and the board voted to award the funds. Board members voiced no opposition during the roll call of ayes.
The MEDC recorded no further conditions on the award at the meeting. The staff member said she will code similar future support correctly and will provide any additional documentation as requested by the board.
