The Johnson County Board of Commissioners approved several planning and zoning items Monday: a 10-year lease for a county-owned flood-buyout lot at 6192 Bluff Acres Drive, the final plat for Berry Chase Section 2 (37 lots), and action on Meadows of Bellevue Section 3 (57 lots) that included conditions and pending legal review.
Planning and Zoning Director Michelle Yance presented the lease item, saying the county-owned parcel acquired in the 2008 flood-buyout would be leased to adjoining neighbors identified in the packet as "Caleb and Maria" to use as a garden. "Before you is a 10 year lease for 6192 Bluff Acres Drive," Yance said.
On subdivisions, Yance said Berry Chase Section 2 presented 37 lots and the department had received three-year maintenance bonds for the public improvements; commissioners approved the final plat by voice vote. For Meadows of Bellevue Section 3, staff reported performance and maintenance bonds for 57 lots and listed four conditions to address outstanding issues from prior sections. County staff asked that approval be subject to those conditions and to legal review; commissioners approved the motion pending legal follow-up.
The actions were recorded by voice vote in the meeting; the transcript does not record a roll-call tally. The packet and planning department memo list additional conditions and deadlines for outstanding items tied to Meadows of Bellevue approvals.
