The Village of Suffern Board of Trustees on May 17 approved two part-time summer clerk appointments for municipal offices.
Mayor Curley said the village would provide short-term summer work and Director of Public Works and others present noted there were students in attendance. Trustee Corrigan moved to appoint Megan Simon as a part-time summer clerk; Trustee Alpert seconded and the motion was approved by voice vote. The board then approved the appointment of Rachel Accord following a motion by Trustee Corrigan and a second by Trustee Osborne.
The meeting record does not include compensation, start or end dates, or job descriptions for the summer hires; those details were not read into the transcript.
