MDEQ, the Flathead City‑County Health Department and Whitefish Fire Department submitted standard agency comments; the fire department asked for cistern capacity and verified water connections to meet local fire‑suppression standards. The Whitefish Fire Service Area confirmed similar requirements and emphasized house numbering and access concerns.
Staff said the expansion increases traffic by a small percentage on Highway 93 and that an approach permit from the Montana Department of Transportation will be required for any change in use. Planning recommended a 0.46‑acre parkland dedication for the project and required that certain internal roads meet mobile home park design standards prior to final plat approval.
Outcome: The board accepted the planning findings and granted preliminary plat approval with conditions including system reviews by the health department and MDEQ, fire district approval of the on‑site tanker/recharge facility and parkland dedication.
