The Marysville City Council approved engineering-agreement amendments for the Eleventh Road reconstruction and the Fifteenth Street storm-sewer project, and heard that Twelfth Road is scheduled to begin in July.
City Administrator Josh said CES submitted the amendment for the Eleventh Road work after an earlier administrative transition left the change out of the contract paperwork; staff and the council moved to approve the amendment so construction could proceed. "CES emailed me this amendment to the agreement...they realized that it was still needing to be added into it," Josh said.
Councilors were told crews had already mobilized at the Eleventh Road site. The Fifteenth Street storm-sewer amendment also passed after discussion. Council members and staff said they expect a preconstruction meeting to confirm timelines and that actual work on Fifteenth Street would begin in several weeks depending on contractor scheduling and weather.
Josh added that the larger Twelfth Road project is set to start in July and that staff will coordinate timelines to minimize overlap and disruption to the same area.
Both amendments were moved, seconded and approved by the council during the business portion of the meeting; no financial irregularities were raised on the record.
