The Dickinson City Commission approved a zoning text amendment to add Fairway Street to the Corridor Overlay District in Division 5 of Chapter 62 of the Dickinson Municipal Code.
City Planner Bercheck explained the change would require future commercial and public site developments along Fairway Street to comply with the Corridor Overlay District’s development standards and regulations. Staff recommended approval and presented the amendment as Ordinance 18-19.
Commissioner Bair moved to approve reading and final passage; the motion carried with aye votes from commissioners. The record contains no additional conditions attached to the ordinance at the meeting.
The amendment applies to new commercial and public-site development on Fairway Street going forward; staff said it is a zoning text amendment rather than a site-specific change.
