The Dickinson City Commission approved the reading and final passage of Ordinance 18-18, a zoning map amendment commonly referred to as the Wall and Cook rezoning.
City Planner Burcheck described the request as a zoning amendment to change parcels from Residential R-1 to medium-density Residential R-2 for specified lots in Block 14 of the Cooks Meadow subdivision to allow development of single-family attached residences. Planner Burcheck said the applicant also submitted an associated plat that would proceed if the zoning amendment were approved; staff recommended approval.
Commissioner Frederick moved for reading and final passage; Commissioner Bair seconded. The commission voted aye and the ordinance passed on final reading.
The meeting record does not show substantive amendments or conditions attached to the ordinance at final passage. The city planner indicated staff support and availability to answer follow-up questions about the plat and development standards.
