On the circulation policy, staff described a new automatic renewal feature available through the integrated library system: if an item has no existing hold, it will auto-renew one time. "If they auto renew and it's not available, will they go to the bottom of the list to, like, recheck it back out?" a board member asked; staff clarified that holds and auto-renew function separately and that auto-renew applies only when no hold exists. Staff also noted that the library remains fine-free, and chronic nonreturns that reach a threshold will be referred to collections.
Board member John Rodenbiker moved approval of both the registration policy and the circulation policy as presented; both motions passed by voice vote.
The approved changes are administrative policy updates; staff did not indicate any immediate changes to patron-facing fees beyond existing fine-free practice.
