Committee members discussed staffing windows and setup times for Pride (setup at about 10:30 a.m., event 11 a.m.–4 p.m.), said they would circulate a SignUpGenius for shifts, and encouraged family members or other helpers to assist with setup and take-down.
For Juneteenth the committee voted to sponsor a supportive-group table at $250; members asked staff to clarify what sponsorship funds would be used for and were told the money would support marketing and event space costs rather than food service.
The committee confirmed an existing sponsorship of the Buddy Walk on Sept. 27 and said volunteers will be needed from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Members asked staff to follow up on volunteer recruitment and to publicize opportunities.
No formal vote was recorded for Pride staffing beyond members’ agreement to participate and the plan to circulate a shift sign-up. Staff said they will coordinate equipment pickup and logistics with Katie and provide a follow-up message to committee members with the sign-up link.
These outreach decisions are intended to increase committee visibility in the community and to support local nonprofit and disability-focused events; the committee encouraged broad participation and asked staff to circulate details and shift options ahead of the events.
