Public comment highlights: - Jackie Bouyer, president of the Kellogg Lake Board, invited the council and community to Kids Fishing Day on June 7 (children 15 and under, 8 a.m.–noon) and described educational stations, prizes and hot-dog concessions. She said additional fish — including hybrid bluegill — would be stocked with Department of Conservation support. - Renee Minshew, representing the Carthage Humane Society, announced a spaghetti fundraiser (June 14) and described plans for a low-cost DAPPV parvovirus vaccine clinic to respond to widespread parvo cases in the area; timing to be set once vaccine supply arrives.

Staff also provided operational notes: vandalism in parks is down and bathroom closing times will revert to 10 p.m. (11 p.m. at Griggs). The Parks department and partners outlined a July 4 schedule that includes a golf tournament, free swim, food trucks and music.
