Morristown council adopts sewer and capital bond ordinances totaling roughly $3.67 million

Morristown — The Morristown Town Council on May 27 adopted multiple capital ordinances to fund sewer improvements and other projects.

Ordinance O-17-2025 appropriates $549,815 from the sewer capital improvement fund for various sewer improvements in Morristown and Morris County. Council members opened a public hearing on the ordinance and, seeing no speakers, closed the hearing and voted to adopt the ordinance.

The council also adopted bond ordinance O-18-2025, which appropriates $3,123,000 for various capital improvements and authorizes the issuance of $2,966,000 in bonds or notes to finance part of the projects’ costs. No members of the public spoke on O-18 during the hearing; the council voted to adopt the ordinance after the public hearing was closed.
