Forrest, a district staff member, said the current projectors are approaching 10 years of use and that the district’s best bid for the laser units was from Howard at about $8.66 per unit for the specified model. He said laser projectors would avoid the frequent bulb replacements required by older models and are rated for approximately 20,000 hours.
After brief discussion, the board voted 6-0 to approve the purchase, and staff said funds were budgeted for the expense in the current year.
