The board approved a contract on June 9 to adopt an online credit-recovery platform (Image Learning / Edgenuity) for the 2025–26 school year to support high school students who need to recover credits or retake courses.
District staff said the previous vendor changed its fee structure and that Image Learning offers a more cost-effective option while maintaining flexibility for students with varied needs: homebound students, those seeking to improve grades for A–G eligibility, and students needing to retake courses. Staff said principals and program administrators reviewed the platform twice and agreed it fit the district’s instructional and operational needs.
Trustees asked if the platform is used both for grade recovery and credit retakes; staff confirmed it will serve both functions and said implementation will include school-level coordination.
Motion to approve the contract was moved by Trustee Rodas and seconded by Trustee DeNammar Marsh; trustees approved by voice vote.
