The Trussville City Schools Board of Education voted to adopt the district’s 2025–26 salary schedule, effective July 1, 2025, and approved job-title changes to align with the new schedule.
The salary schedule had been presented at the board’s May meeting and returned after the required 30-day period for final approval. The board discussed funding sources for the increase and were told that surplus funds carried forward from the prior fiscal year would be used to support the salary-step increases.
Superintendent Dr. Martin and Chief School Financial Officer Jim Kirkland participated in the discussion; Kirkland had described the year-end roll-forward and its specific components during the budget presentation earlier in the meeting.
The salary-schedule approval passed on a voice vote with no recorded opposition. The board indicated the schedule will be implemented in the upcoming fiscal year as presented.
