The commission opened nominations for chair and, after a single nomination, closed nominations and elected the incumbent by voice vote. The commission then nominated Sarah Burdette for vice chair and approved her by voice vote. Ed Johnson was nominated and approved as secretary by voice vote.
The election followed routine procedure for the commission’s officer slate. Commissioners moved to accept the April 14 regular meeting minutes and two special meeting minutes (April 17 and May 22) during the same session; that motion also passed by voice vote.
The votes were conducted by voice; no roll-call tallies were recorded in the meeting minutes or the public transcript.
