City Reports Progress on Highland Drive Water Tower Project; Completion Target Late Summer

“Yeah. They've made a lot of progress. They've ran, piping from, I believe, the tower up on Highland Drive down to the new tower on the backside of Scout Hill there in City Park. Mhmm. And, they've started running piping down towards Canal Terrace to tie into the main waterline,” James said on the podcast.

James estimated completion “sometime in August or September,” adding “Could be a little bit later” because crews “run into rock” in some sections. He thanked residents for patience as intermittent road closures have occurred while crews lay pipe.
