Cameron Curtis of the county Public Works department told the board the grader was replaced in 2025 and is being declared surplus under the referenced state statute. "This is a pretty simple request," Curtis said, identifying the vehicle and the statutory authority for disposal.
There were no public comments on the request. A motion to declare the grader surplus and authorize disposal was made and approved with the commissioners present voting in favor.
The board’s action authorizes county staff to proceed with disposal or sale consistent with RCW 36.34.080 procedures for surplus county property.
