The Keystone Central SD School Board tabled discussion of Policy 333, Professional Development, after members noted a PSBA (Pennsylvania School Boards Association) draft containing additional links and minor differences from the district's current language.
One board member said the last PSBA revision in the district’s materials was dated February 2019 but the district had received a new edition; members agreed to take a month to compare the two versions and requested staff and fellow board members review the draft and exchange suggested edits by email.
Separately, the board reviewed Policy 626, Federal Fiscal Compliance. Administrators reported that the policy was revised on Feb. 25 and that federal-program monitoring requirements are being met; no recommended changes were made.
Action and next steps: Policy 333 will be tabled for at least one month to allow members and administration to compare the PSBA draft and the currently adopted version. Policy 626 requires no change at this time.
