"Pickleball is here to stay," the presenter said, recommending the project if funding is available; staff noted there are currently no pickleball courts in that portion of the county and suggested the site would serve the Ladies Island area.
The property owner was present in the meeting room and staff said they would follow up with the owner outside the meeting to explore options for moving forward and identifying funding. No motion or vote was taken; staff recommended pursuing funding and further discussion if council wants to advance the project.
