Mayor reports 35‑year sentence in city park robbery, new fire chief and expanded farmers market

The mayor also announced that Bill Clark, approved at the previous meeting, had his first day of service as fire chief and had received his badge and uniform. In other community news, the mayor said the Right Way, KJ Wright’s Foundation will recognize Alderman Dickerson at an alumni charity basketball game in June, and that the Olive Branch farmers market will open Saturday with 46 vendors, more than double its earlier size, with additional space planned for non‑farm vendors.
