Public-works staff said Wildwood has about 33 small vehicular structures — typically box culverts over creeks — that the city reinspects on a five-year rotation; the last inspections were completed in 2020. GBA performed previous inspections for the city and submitted a proposal to reinspect the structures in 2025 for a price not to exceed $30,000. Brenda and Public Works Director Brown reviewed the proposal and recommended proceeding.
Why it matters: The inspections provide a documented structural condition rating and identify erosion or deficiencies that could require further engineering work or costly replacements. Staff told the committee that most inspections are visual evaluations supplemented by photos and GPS location data; more extensive follow-up work would be required only if inspectors find deterioration that warrants repairs or replacement.
