Resident alleges drug sales and safety issues at Walnut Park Apartments

A resident of Walnut Park Apartments told the Grand Junction City Council she is witnessing routine illegal drug sales and other safety problems at her complex and asked the council and staff to take notice.

At the June meeting, Theresa, who asked to be identified as “Giggles,” said she lives at Walnut Park Apartments and described “a lot of illegal activity.” She named a man she identified as “Tyler Stragle” and said he “likes to go around the properties selling methamphetamine, fentanyl, and stuff like this.”

Theresa also alleged that identity misuse and other misconduct are occurring at the property and stated there have been concealed gas leaks and other safety issues. She said the behavior has affected her and other residents and implored the council to take notice: “The drug use that's being going on there needs to stop. There's a man named Tyler going door to door… and somebody needs to take notice.”
