LACONIA, N.H. — The Laconia Planning Board on Tuesday continued a request to extend the completion date for a Winnesquam Avenue project after staff said the application had been misnoticed and needed to be re‑noticed to meet legal requirements.
Staff said the applicant requested an extension of the current completion date of May 30, 2025, to Dec. 30, 2027. Because the notice did not meet the statutory requirements, the board voted to continue the item to the July meeting so the city can re‑notice the application and meet legal notice requirements.
A motion to continue the application to the July meeting passed unanimously with six members voting in favor.
What happens next: Staff will re‑notice the application for the July meeting to satisfy legal notice requirements and allow full public review.
