Broken Arrow Public Schools Board of Education on a voice roll call approved Damon Beasley to serve as the district's Director of Construction Services.
Board President Allen introduced the appointment, saying Beasley "is not a stranger anymore to the district" after being hired in July 2024 and that "he's proven to be an incredible value add to our district." The board approved the appointment after a motion, a second and a roll-call vote in which members recorded "yes."
The district said the position reinstates a structure the board previously maintained when it had multiple construction directors; Superintendent Dunn said the district has seen a volume of current and planned bond projects that make the role necessary. The board noted Beasley's prior experience working with construction managers, contractors, architects and engineers, and referenced his military service and degree from the University of Louisiana Monroe.
Board members thanked Beasley and his family for attending the meeting. No amendments or contingencies were recorded in the meeting discussion; the motion carried by roll call.
The approval restores a two-person structure for construction oversight the district said it used in prior years and will apply to upcoming bond-related projects.
