Council packet language initially listed the event time with a typographical error; the applicant clarified the parade would start at 11 a.m. and the festival events would run until about 7 p.m.
Council approved closing portions of South Broad Street and other local streets for the parade route. The permit as approved states the parade will start at Robert Murray Library, proceed along South Broad Street, and that certain cross streets will be closed from morning through evening to accommodate the event. The council voted to approve the special event permit; the motion carried.
The applicant and staff said additional details and final logistics will be coordinated with city staff closer to the event date.
