At its June 6, 2025, meeting, the LaSalle County IT and Central Services Committee accepted the central services monthly operations report for May and approved payment of routine bills, committee Chair Kathy Owens said at the meeting.
The committee heard a staff summary of central services volume and cost-savings for May, including microfilm documents (56,383), processed feet (2,030), scanned images (54,255) and toner purchases totaling $3,067.56. Tracy, the central services presenter, reported monthly bills of $18,454.03 and reimbursements to the general fund of $627.56; she also reported postage totals and several lines of postage savings, including certified-savings of $171.68 and shipping-label savings of $51.61. “We have a savings on toner usage, $120.56,” Tracy said during the report.
Committee members asked clarifying questions about payroll timing and other line items. After discussion, the committee moved to accept Tracy’s report and then moved to pay the bills tied to central services; both motions passed on voice votes.
The meeting minutes and routine motions related to the central services report and bills were handled as part of the committee’s standard business and did not produce further policy directives. Staff indicated cost-savings and operational metrics would be tracked in upcoming reports.
